In 2003 Bert Weir took on the project of building his own pool, this made Weir choose to continue this side hustle by selling pool chemical to his friends. He began to get the question "Can I get a pool from you?" and from that, Live For Today Pools & Spas began. He runs the company with his wife, Virginia, their two sons Brandon and Brett, his daughter-in-law Victoria, and other dedicated long-term employees; this has allowed them to successfully own and operate two stores in Stratford and Summerside respectively.
